Fueled by a love for Tarifa, Grupo La Sacristía was born in 2018. Today, it owns three boutique hotels in the historic center—now benchmarks for their prime location, comfort, warm guest care, and attention to detail. Speaking about La Sacristía is speaking about one of Tarifa’s most emblematic buildings. Set in the heart of the Old Town and dating back to the 17th century, it now showcases a renovation that embraces Andalusian culture and its Arab heritage. Noble materials—wood, lime, clay, and esparto grass—crafted by local artisans shape spaces that evoke Al-Ándalus: gentle arches, Moorish-inspired latticework, and a soft, serene light.
The fireplace, clad in braided esparto by expert hands from Jaén, has become a hallmark corner—a contemporary gesture that converses with the lounge, the patio, and the property’s natural textures. Every detail seeks the same goal: for travelers to feel at home from the moment they walk in—lingering over an unhurried breakfast, or unwinding after a massage with a drink in the lounge or out on the terrace, widely recognized as one of Tarifa’s most romantic spots.

On one of the quietest streets in the Old Town, El Escondite offers an intimate, serene retreat. Completely refurbished in May 2023, this boutique hotel features ten rooms where comfort and quality pair with a breezy, beachy, bohemian style.
The common areas are framed by striking murals by Johina G. Concheso, who also designed the hotel’s spectacular entrance—turning every arrival into a small artistic experience.
With decades of history within its walls, Hotel Misiana has evolved in step with Tarifa while staying true to its identity. In the best location in the old town, this landmark building has been reimagined as a signature boutique hotel: sophisticated and welcoming, with a design that honors the past through a fresh, contemporary lens.
The project reinterprets the original structure through Spanish traditions and masterfully channels the colorful, refined energy of the 1960s and ’70s, with nods to Miami Art Deco. The result blends retro aesthetics with Tarifa’s coastal lifestyle: a palette of bold colors, clean geometries, luxurious materials, and natural elements that add warmth and character.
